The winter blew quickly by as we developed cultural exchanges with Contemporary Dance Forum in Poland
and Dansgroep Amsterdam, in The Netherlands; created 'Looking, Looking', which will have it's world premiere
in Poland this July and it's US premiere in September at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts; organized our
jubilant return to Poland; redesigned our website; and joined
the social networking revolution with our new Liss Fain Dance Facebook
Page.

Liss Fain Dance is honored to present our work during Marin Arts Salon. The yearly event brings together
a multitude of artists living in Marin, showcasing their work while guests mingle, enjoy food and wine,
and experience the moment.
TOUR OF POLAND - JULY
Liss Fain Dance triumphantly returns to Poland, with the world premiere of 'Looking, Looking' at three
renowned dance festivals.
* International Contemporary Dance Festival - Bytom July 3
Poland and East-Central Europe's oldest and largest contemporary dance festival.
* International Dance Festival Ladek Ballet Summer -
Ladek Zdroj July 6
This festival's history begins with the esteemed promoter of Polish Opera and Ballet art, Slawomir
Pietras, director of leading Polish Opera scenes in Warsaw, Poznan, Lodz, and Wroclaw.
* International Dance Theaters Festival and the Contemporary
Dance Forum - Lublin July 9-10
Since it's establishment in 1997, the International Dance Theaters Festival has become one of the largest
cultural events in Lublin, and one of the most important dance theatre festivals in Poland and Eastern Europe.

THE NEW PROJECT: 'LOOKING, LOOKING'
Looking Looking , set to Bartok's Concerto for Viola, will make its
international premiere this July in Poland and its US premeiere at the
company's home season at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts on September 11, 12
& 13. The piece is inspired by two, very different experiences: the
company's September 2007 tour of Eastern Europe and the deep emotionality
and melancholy-infused wit I experienced in the work I saw and the people I
met there. Reminders of the past are ever-present---the sophisticated
artistic and intellectual achievements manifested in the architecture and
the love of the arts contrasted by the devastations of WWII and the
bleakness of Communism. And my personal, majestically peaceful experience of
walking, in Cambodia, at the Bayon of Angkor Thom, among the enormous stone
heads of the Buddha carved into each side of every tower of the ancient
temple.
